INTAN JAYA - The Raider Infantry Battalion 509/Balawara Yudha Kostrad, part of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA, conducted a heartwarming social outreach program in Mamba Village, Sugapa District. This event was part of their ongoing mobile security efforts along the Indonesia-Papua New Guinea border. On August 30, 2024.
Titled "KOMSOS VISITING THE COMMUNITY, " the initiative aimed to strengthen social ties and enhance security awareness among villagers. Led by Second Lieutenant Irawan Suharto, the soldiers visited homes, engaging with residents to discuss local issues and security matters.

The soldiers were greeted with excitement, especially by the village children, who were thrilled to meet them. This interaction created a joyful atmosphere, with soldiers sharing lighthearted conversations that brought laughter and smiles to the kids. One young resident, Danis Gwijangge, expressed his gratitude, saying, "Thank you, Commander 509. God bless."
Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, the Commanding General of HABEMA, praised the 509 Task Force for their community engagement.
"This initiative shows TNI's dedication to inclusive social communication, which is essential for supporting development in the Papua region, " he stated. His recognition emphasizes the significance of such programs in fostering community relations and advancing regional progress.
